Website upgrade

It has been just over a year since I started English Kitchen and English Masa. I was a little tired of the old website, so I have updated it and changed the layout. In addition, there is a new section on Private English lessons. If you have time, please check it out!

It’s probably a little short notice but if there is anybody who wants to take part in an English Kitchen lesson on Monday the 15th, there are two spaces left. It’s a public holiday so lots of people probably have plans, but I thought I would ask.

There are again a few spaces in some of the classes this month if anyone is interested.

On the 30th there is space for one more person and on the 31st there is space for two people.

As you can see from my schedule, there are a few classes that have spaces in this month.

I was hoping that maybe people reading this might be interested in, or know someone interested in taking lessons.

The class on the 19th of this month, has two spaces available. The class on the 21st has one space.

Although this kind of thing has been done one many websites before, stick “Japanese English” or “mistranslation Japanese English” into your favourite search engine and there should be a fair few sites, but I thought I would try to do a feature on strange English in Japan.

The purpose of this is as a kind of grammar/vocabulary correcting exercise.

I will post the photo of the strange English and the answer as to why I thought is was strange will be in the “Continue Reading” section. So try to work out what is strange and then have a look at the answer for yourself.

Please feel free to leave a comment as well.

Also, there will be a category for Badlish, and if anyone out there has a good photo I can use, feel free to send it in!

I have finally added another update to the English Kitchen site. I have been wanting to do something about the space on the right-hand side and I finally came up with (what I think is) a good solution.

There is now various content on each of the pages that all link together into one dish. There are different categories like ingredients, cooking methods etc…

I don’t really want to say too much else, I want people to try it and see if it is intuitive or not. Anyway, if you go to any of the English Kitchen pages, there should be some new content on the right.
