I also wanted to visit what they call "Suzumushi-dera" near that shrine, but we (as far as I remember, I was with a friend of mine) decided not to because the sky started to become kind of dark and gloomy. Speaking of Kyoto, I'm going to visit another temple there tomorrow. It's called Saihoji Temple, or more popularly referred to as "Koke-dera." They say I'll get to read the sutra (not sure if this is the right word) and do other such stuff. I'll report on it the next time I take part in your class.
